THE WORD SOLSTICE IS DERIVED FROM THE LATIN SOL (SUN) AND SISTERE (TO STAND STILL). THIS ASTRONOMICAL EVENT OCCURS TWICE A YEAR AS THE SUN REACHES ITS HIGHEST OR LOWEST POINT RELATIVE TO THE CELESTIAL EQUATOR. THIS COLLECTION LAUNCHED ON THE EVE OF THE SUMMER SOLSTICE AND THE JEWELS ARE AN ODE TO THE JUXTAPOSITION OF STILLNESS AND CYCLES. FOR EXAMPLE, THE MOON CYCLE RING REFLECTS THE 8 CYCLES OF THE MOON WHILE THE GEMSTONE THEY REVOLVE AROUND SYMBOLISES THE SELF WITHIN. I just couldn't not post this beautiful and serene look book by the wonderful and amazing Maggie from Baghsu Jewellery. Working alongside some beautiful girls collaborating to create this heart warming & breath taking look book for her collection 'Solstice'.

I am such a fan of her work and the way in which she presents herself as a label. Lucky enough to own a few pieces, I myself have had the chance to experience its very magic and what her crystals offer to the owner. The amazing stones and crystals work powerfully and have helped me through these past few months.
