all photo's taken from Friend in fashion blog
It has been a busy week for me but don't worry behind the scenes i have been organising some very exciting things that will be coming up...an amazing not to miss GIVEAWAY  is coming soon too shhh

In the meantime i have been enjoying the wonderful and inspirational photos of fellow blogger Jasmin of FRIEND IN FASHION blog here. Her elegant, girly yet sophisticated style is a breath of fresh air to look at and her photos capture it at its best!

she has beautiful qualities, exceptional style, great work ethic, inspirational tips- and is someone i aspire to be like one day...everyone can learn a thing or two from her.

As a new blogger myself it was great to get the chance to have an interview with Jasmin and learn some interesting things to help me in the future... and I am sure all of you will gain something wonderful too from this interview.

You can follow her wonderfully colourful and exciting instagram @friendinfashion, for a behind the scenes insight into her life...

When and why did you start your blog? and how have you gotten to where you are today in the blogger world?

I started Friend in Fashion a couple of years ago, mainly as a personal style diary and very much as a creative outlet. To be honest, I didn't really know much about blogs or the blogging community when I started, but soon people started reading and commenting on my blog, which got me interested in finding out more, I discovered favourite blogs, and made great friendships with people who share similar interests/ passion to me.

What is your life moto that gets you through each day?

Live in such a way that if anyone should speak badly of you, no one would believe it.

What are your top 3 tips for aspiring bloggers? what should they be aware of?

There is a lot of work that goes into maintaining a blog. I speak to a lot of people who think that starting a blog is a great way of getting clothes, or attending events, but there is much more to it. I spend hours, styling, photographing, editing and writing blog posts, which is time I couldn't spend if I didn't really enjoy blogging.
My tips for aspiring bloggers would be to:
Be passionate
Work hard
Enjoy what you do

What would you consider your style to be? what is your all time favourite piece of clothing and accessory?

My style changes from day to day, depending on my mood, but my favourite style of dressing is tailored, feminine and elegant.

My wardrobe is filled with structured blazers, print dresses and statement accessories. At the moment, I can't get enough of my favourite Fiel Sol necklaces. Sometimes I love throwing on a plain tee, a pair of great cropped trousers, heels and my Fiel Sol collection always completes the look perfectly!

What has it been like collaborating with such amazing companys? how do you choose who to work with?

I'm fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to collaborate with many amazing Australian and International brands.

Today, more and more brands, and designers are working with bloggers, so many more opportunities have arisen in the last 6-12 months than when I first started blogging.

For me, it is really important that the brands/designers I partner with are aligned with my style and what my readers have come to expect from Friend in Fashion. I think being selective with the kinds of collaborations I take up preserves the integrity of my blog, which is really important to me. I often pass up on opportunities that  aren't the 'right fit'.

Where is your ulitmate fashion destination? whats one city you would like to visit and why?

A passion of mine is to travel, and I've had the opportunity to see many places in the world. My favourite fashion destinations have to be Paris and Spain. Both the French and Spanish are incredibly stylish, and always impeccably 'put-together'. New York and Tokyo are also fantastic places for fashion inspiration. A day in Shibuya & Harajuku in Japan, will open your eyes to all kinds of street-style! It's crazy and playful. It's not to eveyone's taste, but I like the fact that no one is scared to experiment.

where do you see yourself in the future? for both you and your blog, is this something you want to expand?

I run my own digital fashion marketing business, and the blog overlaps perfectly with this, so I'm really looking forward to expanding my business as well as continuing to utilise my blog as a creative outlet.

hope you picked up some tips & inspirations to continue with your own blog,
lots of love,
leana xxxx
